Bemerton Heath Harlequins 0–2 Andover Town

Andover Town returned to league action after the previous weeks enforced absence and celebrated by claiming all three points from a game that for more than an hour had goalless draw written all over it. With Zach Glasspool recuperating from his knee operation recent signings Reese Rusher and Harrison Fay were handed their first starts whilst a third newcomer Dylan Knight signed on loan from AFC Totton was named amongst the substitutes.

During the first half both sides struggled to find openings.Whilst Bemerton were the better side going forward it was Andover who came nearest to breaking the deadlock, when Rusher's effort from twenty five yards was palmed away by the Quins goalkeeper Jason Collins for a corner.

Town started the second half strongly as Grange's neat pass put Lerone Plummer clear but the final angle was tight and he could only find the side netting. Bemerton’s response was a good effort from John Blake but Lloyd Thomas was alert to the danger saving well at the expense of a corner. With the second period still in it’s infancy, Alex Dockree had to be stretchered off, with what appeared to be a leg injury. Javier Santafe-Vivo came on as the replacement and Knight replaced Adam Grange. Around the hour mark the prolific Scott Joyce took advantage of some rare Andover hesitation to run clear with only Thomas to beat.The keeper narrowed the angle,spread his body well and the chance went begging.Just how important that save was only became apparent at the final whistle. Finally with fifteen minutes left the all important first goal arrived. Andover were awarded a free kick in a central position three yards outside the area. Javier Santafe-Vivo lined the kick up and struck sweetly over the defensive wall into the top corner of the net. The Town’s second and decisive goal arrived seven minutes later. Lerone Plummer wide on the right put in a speculative shot that appeared to be travelling high over the bar before suddenly drifting over Collins shoulder into the net. No one in the ground was more amazed than Plummer that the goal had been scored. If the game had been filmed this goal was a sure for a 'You Tube' slot.
