Bournemouth Poppies 1–0 Andover Town

Having won the seasons two previous encounters against Bournemouth Andover Town were denied the hat trick conceding a goal in the fourth minute of added time. A major traffic incident lead to several of the Town’s squad arriving late at Victoria Park, resulting in the pre match build up being curtailed. Andover were without Liam Gilbert and Alex Dockree whilst Mcaulie Stubbs gave the Keepers Jersey back to Lloyd Thomas and played a midfield role.

During a rather sterile first half Bournemouth had the two best chances.Sami Makhloufi from six yards blazed over the bar and Chris Spears headed wide from a corner when it looked easier to score. At the other end Reece Rusher and Adam Grange had efforts blocked by the Goalkeeper on the edge of the area.

The pitch at Victoria Park is some distance from being the League’s best and as the game continued after the break that continued to be a problem for Andover's speed merchants which consquently affected their ability to get the ball into the box. Andover survived a scare when a volley hit a post.At the other end Javier Santafe-Vivo twice tried his luck from distance but both were just wide of the target. Well into added time Bournemouth won a series of three consecutive corners and when the third failed to be cleared Fawzi Saadi found an inch of space and volleyed past Thomas.
