New Ownership Confirmed at Andover Town FC

Andover Town FC can confirm that Proleague Limited has completed the acquisition of the club, alongside the agreement of a 25-year lease of Portway Stadium with Test Valley Borough Council.

As part of the new ownership, Andover Town will retain its name, identity and home at Portway Stadium, with a clear long-term ambition to strengthen the club both on and off the pitch.

A New Chapter for Andover Town

The investment marks the beginning of a new chapter for Andover Town FC.

The ownership group believes strongly in the footballing potential of Andover and the surrounding area, with a particular focus on creating opportunities for young players and building a club the local community can be proud of.

The long-term ambition is to develop Andover Town sustainably, strengthen the First Team and wider football structure, and support the club in progressing through the divisions.

Day-to-day operations at the club will be led by Mohammad Alkandari, who will serve as Chief Executive.

Mohammad will oversee the club's development and operations as work begins across both the football and commercial sides of Andover Town.

Partnership with Salisbury FC

The ownership structure will also establish a closer working relationship between Andover Town and Salisbury FC.

The partnership is intended to create a clearer pathway into senior football for young players progressing through Salisbury's academy, while also providing opportunities for players requiring regular first-team minutes.

The two clubs will also have opportunities to collaborate across areas including scouting, player development and coaching resources.

At Portway Stadium, the ownership group intends to explore improvements to the club's facilities, including the potential development of an all-weather 3G pitch.

Such a development could provide additional training facilities while also allowing Portway to be used more extensively by the wider community throughout the week.

Andover Town FC would also like to place on record its thanks to Sparsholt College for its stewardship of the club and its support throughout the handover process.

The club also thanks Test Valley Borough Council for its cooperation and support in agreeing the long-term lease of Portway Stadium.
