Andover Town produced a commanding performance at Portway, scoring seven against Denmead as Robbie Skeates began his tenure as First Team Manager in emphatic fashion.

Andover Town began a new chapter in emphatic fashion as the Town produced a dominant display to secure a 7–1 victory over Denmead at Portway Stadium.
With Robbie Skeates taking charge of the First Team, several new and returning faces featured as Town delivered an impressive attacking performance in front of the home support.
Fast Start at Portway
Town wasted little time in taking control of the contest.
Sulaiman Al Arouj opened the scoring after being picked out by Ben Morris, finishing into an empty net to give Andover the perfect start.
Morris then went from provider to goalscorer shortly afterwards, doubling the advantage as Town began to establish firm control of proceedings.
The hosts continued to cause problems from wide areas, with Ben Morris and Henrick Wendin stretching the Denmead defence while Town moved the ball quickly and with purpose.
Denmead pulled one back against the run of play to make it 2–1, but Andover responded well and continued to create chances.
Before the interval, Scott Ellis restored the two-goal advantage to send Town into half-time leading 3–1.
Town Take Control
Andover emerged for the second half with the same intensity and quickly took complete control of the match.
The Town moved the ball with confidence, with the wide areas again proving particularly effective, while the returning Harry Hale added strength and composure in midfield.
Matt Scott found the net as the hosts extended their advantage before Hale produced one of the moments of the afternoon, finding the target with an excellent free-kick.
Town continued to press forward and Jack Langdon added another as Denmead struggled to contain the home side.
A number of changes followed, with Logan Cook, Sam Churchill and Luke Holden all introduced as Andover maintained the pressure.
Holden had opportunities to get himself on the scoresheet before eventually finding the breakthrough.
Cook did brilliantly to keep the ball alive near the byline before delivering a first-time ball into the area, where Holden applied the finishing touch to complete the scoring.

It was an impressive afternoon for the Town, with seven goals and a convincing performance marking the beginning of the new managerial era.
The result provides a strong platform to build upon as the squad continues to develop under Robbie Skeates.
The afternoon also marked a significant personal milestone for Owen Trapnell, who made his 250th appearance for Andover Town FC.
