United Services Portsmouth 3–1 Andover Town

Andover Town made the trip to U.S.Portsmouth who were in 5th place in the league with just five defeats in the league this season. It was always going to be a difficult match as Portsmouth were unbeaten in their last five matches. This was the fourth meeting between the two sides this season. Town losing on all previous occassions, firstly in the F.A.Cup at AFC Portchester's ground, losing 5-2. Then at the Portway in the league, Town going down 4-0. Lastly losing 5-2 again at the Victory Stadium in the league cup.

Then this match - Although Town scored first in the eight minute but the home side equalised with a penalty on the half hour. Town held out until half time at 1-1. The hosts however, scored again through another penalty with just over 20 minutes left but the killer blow came with 9 minutes left to make it 3-1. They now entertain Whitchurch United on Tuesday hoping to gain some valuble points.
