○Horndean1–1Andover Town

Despite having their goalkeeper Lloyd Thomas sent off late in the game Andover Town left Five Heads Park with a valuable point to further consolidate their mid league table position. The sides were evenly matched during the first half but in the second period Horndean had the majority of the possession but a robust performance by the Town kept them at bay. Glenn Burnett made one change to the team that started the previous match.Having served his three match suspension Lewis Gilbert came in for Dylan Knight whilst Alex Dockree and McCaulie Stubbs were included amongst the Substitutes.

The first half saw Andover playing down the notorious Five Heads slope and after some early skirmishes at both ends they scored just inside ten minutes. The Horndean keeper Price came to collect a Liam Gilbert free kick but dropped the ball, allowing Adam Grange to smartly nip in and tap the loose ball over the line. Horndean always dangerous on the break had chances to level but the final finish was too wayward. After his early error Price went on to redeem himself saving two good Reece Rusher efforts, another from Grange who also set up Zach Glasspool which Price saved with difficulty at the expense of a corner. Just past the half hour mark Rob Tambling had a great opportunity to score the equaliser but a supreme block by Shane Lock. In the overall context of the game that was a pivotal moment.

Horndean made two changes at the start of the second half and started the half strongly and within ten minutes had equalised. Andover failed to deal with as corner leading to a goalmouth scramble which ended when Ian Humble netted from close range. From then on most of the action was confined to the Andover half but despite their dominance the home side were unable to overcome excellent defensive play by Andover. Towards the closing stages Town worked their way back into the game until with four minutes of normal time left a long ball out of the Horndean area caught them unawares. Connor Duffin broke clear and with only Lloyd Thomas to beat was brought down just outside the area. Thomas received a straight red and Stubbs came on to take over with Rusher the outfield player to make way. The resultant free kick came to nothing but with seven minutes extra time added there were some anxious moments for the travelling faithful before the final whistle sounded
