Andover Town were hoping to bounce back from the midweek defeat by Fareham Town when they visited Test Park to face Team Solent. Andover Town made three changes from the starting lineup against Fareham Town Jarid Hixon replaced Lloyd Thomas in goal, Liam Gilbert returned to replace Javier Santafe-Vivo and Jordan Brackstone came in for Mitchell Hunt.

Team Solent made the better start to the match and Jim Orvis on the right wing was seeing plenty of the ball early on and his crosses were causing problems to the Town defence. In one attack Jim Orvis crossed from the right and found Matthew Sheedy but his header flew over the bar. In With jsy under quarter of an hour gone, Andover's first attack they almost took the lead when Reece Rusher’s well hit shot was tipped over the bar by Bradley Banda, from the resultant corner the ball found Liam Gilbert on the far post who headed it back across goal to Adam Grange but he couldn’t get a clean strike and the ball was cleared. Team Solent responded with a shot from Tyrell Mitford but it was easily saved by Jarid Hixon. Andover started to come more into the game and Reece Rusher cut in from the right hand side and curled his shot just wide of the far Post, then Adam Grange had a shot that that went just past the post and soon after Adam Grange had a another attempt on goal that was easily saved by Bradley Banda. On 24 minutes Team Solent went ahead when a cross from Jim Orvis struck Ross Gregory and was deflected into the net. Another chance fell to Jesse Waller-Lessen soon after but his shot went over the bar. Another promising move by Andover saw Zach Glasspool despite being pulled back by his shorts (unnoticed by the match officials) managed to get his shot away but it went wide. Reece Rusher who picked up a knock was replaced by Victor Guiterrez. Just before half time yet another cross from Jim Orvis found Mathew Sheedy at the far post but his header went over the bar.

Town went into the half time break 1-0 down.

Andover lined up for the Second half with Craig Blakeman replacing Shane Lock at left back. Soon after the restart a free kick by Jesse Waller-Lessen went just wide. Team Solent nearly increased their lead when a free kick was launched into the penalty area which Jarid Hixon came for but only managed to get a faint touch and the ball was heading for the top corner but Mcaulie Stubbs headed it off the line. On the hour Team Solent went further ahead when Jim Orvis threaded the ball through to Matthew Sheedy who swept the ball into the back of the net. Team Solent should have scored a third when Tyrell Mitford slid the ball to Jim Orvis who only had to tap the ball in but he scuffed his shot and it went wide. Andover kept pushing to reduce the arears first Liam Gilbert picked up the ball in his own half and ran to the edge of the opposing area before hitting a shot that went wide, then soon after Zach Glasspool headed on a clearance from the Andover defence which found Sam Pekun whose shot was deflected for a corner. Near the end of the game a Victor Guiterrez shot was pushed around the post by the keeper for a corner from the corner fell to Jordan Brackstone whose shot went over the bar. The match finished 2-0 to the home side, but Andover Town remain in tenth position in the league table.
